Some people want to know, so here goes.
1. Go to Youtube.com
2. Click “Create Account”

3. Give your account a Username, fill out the rest of the box, and click “I accept”

4. Decide if you want to connect your YouTube account to a previously established Google Account (otherwise, you will be given a new YouTube|Google Account***)
*** –> Google owns YouTube. By creating a YouTube account, you are automagically creating a Google Account. This is why they call it “YouTube|Google Account”.
5. Check your email to verify your account, being sure to click on the verification link they send you. Return to YouTube’s homepage after verifying your account.
6. Click on your username at the top right-hand corner of the homepage. Clicking directly on your username always takes you directly to your YouTube channel.

7. Look, you’ve got a YouTube Channel now! Design your YouTube Channel to your liking using the on-site instructions. If you want to change your user profile picture, hover the mouse over your username at the top right-hand corner of the site until you see a drop-down menu. Click “Account” and click “change” under your picture. You can also change other settings, such as location or other descriptive information (such as adding a link to your personal or company website) from the account page.

8. Once you’re done setting up your channel, you are ready to upload videos. From anywhere on the site, click the yellow “Upload” button at the top right-hand corner. There you have it, and away you go!
Note: Remember, videos can only be up to ten (10) minutes in length and up to 2 GB (gigabytes) in size. If you need more, consider creating a Partner, Non-Profit, Educational, or other type of special account. To do this, scroll down to the bottom of the site from any page and click “Partnerships” under the heading “Programs”.
Whether you’re a new business or an established institution looking to get in to the social video sharing world on-line, capitalizing on YouTube’s free hosting and bandwidth to carry your videos/advertisements/vodcasts/etc, then YouTube is the place to be. Underneath every video you post there’s a toolbar that allows you to easily share your videos in the social media space.

If you click the “(more share options)” button, it will reveal the ever-increasingly important Twitter sharing button. Ok, so, get your stuff out there and have a blast!
