Thanks for your thoughtful response, Anna! I figured I would take the opportunity to reflect on my overall MCDM experience than just tabulate the book. It's a good read, that's for sure, but it's ideas, as well as those from other works (like Benkler) have really had a profound impact on me and my overall educational experience. I am forever changed! Long live new media! Long live free! haha

I like your “love letter”. It is a very special and smart way to write a book review.

Normally, most of the book reviews begin with an introduction of the book and the author. Such as, what is the book about; who is the author; what is the conclusion; is it worth to read, etc. However, Matt’s review combines his own experience in MCDM study to Here Comes Everybody. It is very interesting.

For myself experience, this is my first quarter in this program and Here Comes Everybody is my first reading book (it is a required reading from Hanson’s class). It is HCE and Anderson’s Free that introduce me to the information networked world.
Unlike free which examines from an economy perspective, I think HCE is more focusing on the sociology perspective. HCE has a closer contact with reality, as it is full of various stories that happen in our daily lives. Therefore, I think it is a smart and humorous idea to write a love-letter-kind review, for it does change our thoughts in this digital media world.
